General Info
The only major gold mine in Colorado that is still producing, it is run by the Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Co. 24 hours a day. Gold is leached out of the ore by using cyanide, a poisonous solution. The mine is located approximately 1 mile north of the small mining town of Victor, just east of Cripple Creek.
