Four Mile Creek area *** Open to collecting; close all gates behind you. ***

General Info This area, where pegmatites containing black tourmaline can be found, is located due south of Florissant and due west of Cripple Creek.

Minerals Click on the image(s) below to see a picture of that mineral from this location. Feldspar - Mostly massive; I have not seen any crystals from this location. Muscovite - Small books of mica can be found in the pegmatites. Quartz - Mostly massive; I have not seen any crystals from this location. Tourmaline - Black tourmaline (schorl) is easily found in the pegmatites, but it breaks very easily. One crystal was approximately a foot long before it broke.
