Akron 1940 Meteorite (H6)

Akron (1940) was found in 1940 near Akron, Washington County, Colorado. It is an H6 ordinary chondrite and the original mass weighed approximately 1050 g. The Handbook of Colorado Meteorites lists it as between 4 and 7 kg. Another mass was found in 1954 and was 0.64 kg, according to the Meteorical Bulletin. It may be a separate find according to the Handbook of Colorado Meteorites.
