One of the wooden chutes in the mine. From stopes above, gold ore slides down the chute and into a waiting ore cart which is then rolled out on tracks to the ore crusher. Looking down (at an angle) at a lower level in the mine. The metal grid in the foreground is there to keep people from falling down the shaft.

Part of the "Resurrection" vein. The turquoise-blue color (which this picture doesn't show very well) is probably due to copper minerals. The largest ore crusher at the Phoenix Mine. Large metal balls are placed into this machine and then the ore rocks are added. As the crusher turns (like a cement mixer truck), the metal balls crush the ore inside.
