Deer in our campsite Jeep convention?
Each morning and evening, we saw this deer and her fawn eating close to our campsite. They came within 20 ft of the vehicle on the right. Every day we saw many vehicles and hikers below us while we were digging. These Jeeps arrived on the last day. After stopping at the parking island, they continued on towards Mt. White (13,668 ft).

Ridge where the California Mine is located Tabeguache Peak
Southwest of us was this iron-stained ridge. Just on the other side of it is the California Mine which was blasted shut many years ago. I have been told that it is now impossible to find the main adit to the mine, especially since it is private property. Tabeguache Peak (14,155 ft) above the Browns Creek camping area.
