Searle Canyon Looking west from Searle Canyon
On the second day (Sunday), a few of us went to Searle Canyon as the rest of the group went to the Dugway Geode Beds. This is a picture of Searle Canyon which is in the southwestern section of the Thomas Range. After driving into Searle Canyon, we drove and climbed up the northern side to some diggings. This is looking west at the Fish Springs Range.

Lithophysae in rhyolite Digging spot
A nice example of the lithophysae (gas bubbles) in rhyolite that is so prevalent here. My glove is there for scale. Several small topaz crystals and even bixbyites were removed from this spot in Searle Canyon.
