| One of many red beryl crystals (each about 5mm in diameter) that our group found at the Searle Canyon site. They had weathered out of their host rock so we just sifted through the weathered rhyolite. | On the final day (Monday), we went to the Pink Pit that is claimed by one of our club members. This is the pit. It is small, but yields beautiful pink topaz crystals. They look like Topaz Mtn. topaz, but fade to a pink color when exposed to sunlight. |
