Dale digging in the vertical calcite seam. Two other seams can be seen in this view. Bob is looking at a specimen with lots of rhombohedral calcite crystals on it while Dale is working the seam.


This is a "before cleaning" picture of one of the large calcite cluster specimens. Specimen is approximately 8 inches across. The yellow-orange coating is iron oxide. This is an "after cleaning" picture of the previous calcite cluster specimen. Crystal habit is discoidal rhombohedral.
