Bob's Plugins for Spamihilator / Empty Mail Filter

Empty Mail Filter

These settings belong to the Empty Mail Filter.

The Empty Mail Filter is a Plugin. That means it is not directly integrated into Spamihilator, but it can be used to block spam e-mails.

This plugin filter can be given a low priority in Spamihilator's Priorities window.

The Empty Mail Filter plugin blocks e-mails that are empty or contain very few words. If the number of words that are found is less than or equal to the number you specify, the e-mail is considered spam!

By default, the number of words is set at 3. You can change this number to any non-negative number.

Examples:
If you set the value to...
0: only empty e-mails will be considered spam.
1: e-mails with 0 or 1 word will be considered spam.
    2: e-mails with 0, 1, or 2 words will be considered spam.
    3: e-mails with 0, 1, 2, or 3 words will be considered spam.
    etc...

If the "E-mails with file attachments are not empty" option is selected, e-mails with file attachments will NOT be considered Spam because they are not really empty.

If the "E-mails with inline attachments are not empty" option is selected, e-mails with inline attachments will NOT be considered Spam because they are not really empty.

So, if there is no text (or very little) and there is an attachment:
If the option is selected, the mail is not a Spam.
If the option is not selected, the mail is a Spam!

If the "Ignore HTML tags" option is selected, HTML tags in an e-mail will NOT be counted as words.

To save a value after entering it into the "Empty Mail" section of the Settings dialog, click on either the Save or OK or Apply button.

You can configure this filter by opening Spamihilator's Settings dialog and clicking on "Empty Mail".
