Bob's Plugins for Spamihilator / No Comment! Filter
No Comment! Filter
These settings belong to the No Comment! Filter.
The No Comment! Filter is a Plugin. That means it is not directly integrated into Spamihilator, but it can be used to block Spam E-Mails.
This plugin filter can be given a low priority in Spamihilator's Priorities window.
The No Comment! Filter plugin blocks e-mails that contain HTML comments. It looks for comment tags in HTML e-mails and counts how many it finds. If the number of comments that are found is more than the number you specified above, the e-mail is considered spam!
Comment tags can be used by spammers to trick anti-spam software by hiding spam words that would normally be detected. For example, if "unsubscribe" is one of your spam words, a spammer can put a comment tag within the word (e.g. "unsub< !-- >scribe") and it will no longer be recognized as a spam word. The No Comment! filter will take care of this problem.
By default, the maximum number of HTML comments allowed is 5. You can change this number to any non-negative number.
To save a value after entering it into the "No Comment!" section of the Settings dialog, click on either the Save or OK button.
You can configure this filter by opening Spamihilator's Settings dialog and clicking on "No Comment!".
