ChangeLog.txt for the Empty Mail filter

This file gives a history of all major changes and additions to this plugin.
Please note that all dates are in U.S. English format (month/day/year).

Here is a list of bugs/suggestions/comments that I am thinking about or still
trying to fix. Some of them might not ever make it into a new version.


Known Bugs

	- E-mails that have the "Disposition: manual-action/..." header
	  information are being marked as Spam. These are generally known as
	  "read receipt" mails.  (Dieter)

1.3.2: Bob Loeffler
	- (5/21/2007) The installer will now use Spami's InstallDir registry
	  key in HKCU for the installation path, if it exists.  If not, it will use the
	  key in HKLM, if it exists.  If not, it will use the c:\Program Files\Spamihilator
	  folder path. (Thanks Mark B. and Michel!)

	- (5/12/07) Removed the debugging message that appeared when Spamihilator
	  loaded this filter.

	- (5/6/07) The Windows Vista and .26 issue wasn't completely fixed, so it
	  should be now.

1.2.0: Bob Loeffler (Thanks for the testing, Anbuva!)
	- (4/29/07) Remove the old "emptymail_german.spamihilator.language" file
	  during installation if it exists.
	- (4/29/07) All filter settings will now be saved to the spamihilator.ini
	  file instead of a separate .ini file. The old .ini file will be deleted.
	- (4/24/07 - 4/29/07) Fixed the issue with Windows Vista computers (where
	  filter/plugin data files cannot be written to the Program Files
	  folder anymore). Thanks for the filter fix, Michel!

	- (5/7/06) Fixed a bug where the text of the new option wouldn't fit into
	  the given space when translated to German. (Thanks Dieter!)
	- (5/7/06) Added German translations to the .language and help files.

	- (5/3/06) Added the option of ignoring HTML code when parsing an e-mail for
	  words.
	- (5/3/06) Changed the name of the .language file (removed "German" from it)
	- (5/3/06) Fixed a bug where translations to other languages (besides
	  German) wouldn't be displayed correctly. (Thanks Alex!)

1.1.0: Bob Loeffler
	- (3/26/06) Fixed the bug where this plugin wouldn't work with the new
	  EOS versions and therefore Spamihilator v1.0 when it becomes available.
	  It is not searching for "spamihilator.exe" in the path anymore.

	- (2/2/06) Check for a filename in the "Content-Type" header field. If
	  found, consider it a file attachment.

1.0.8: Bob Loeffler
	- (1/30/06) Fixed the bug that caused the filter to not always use the
	  options that the user selected. This bug was accidentally introduced
	  in version 1.0.6. (Thanks Dieter!)
	- The installer will no longer overwrite an existing emptymailfilter.ini
	  file, so you don't have to re-set your settings after upgrading.

	- (1/22/06) Cosmetic changes in the Settings dialog and the Help files.

	- (12/03/05) Added the ability to ignore attachments (or not) in the
	  decision of whether an empty mail is truly empty or not.

	- (3/08/04 ... 11/14/04) Figured out that mails that have an invalid
	  "boundary" are accidentally found by this filter as Spam. I fixed it.

1.0.1: Bob Loeffler
	- (2/25/04) Fixed a bug that Andreas Z. reported. Using a value of "0"
	  would never find any empty mails.
	- (2/25/04) It now allows "0" and uses the logic "number of words <= x".
	- (2/25/04) Defaults to a value of "3" now.
	- (2/25/04) All files (e.g. .ini, .hlp, .ico and .dll) were updated.
